Introduction Print

A Neighbourhood Watch Scheme has operated in Hilton for several years.

In an emergency, the network of area coordinators, headed by the village coordinator, forms an integral part of the Hilton Village Emergency Plan by providing a structured network to pass information to and from the Village Emergency Officer.

At other times, the scheme aims to foster good communications between villagers and the local police. The village coordinator acts as the focal point to pass messages from the Cambridgeshire Constabulary to the area coordinators and out to villagers. Links to the E-Cops website and to local crime information are given below.

As more residents take part in the scheme, Neighbourhood Watch will become more effective in helping people to deter crime and reduce undue fear of crime.

If you wish to identify your area co-ordinator or participate in the scheme, please contact Ken Harris, the village coordinator (01480 831658).

Friday Feast

Hello folks, Just a quick reminder that it’s the 3rd Friday of the month so it’s FRIDAY FEAST time!! Hope you can join us this Friday in the parish church from 5.30 – 7pm. Similar format to previous months so there will be wine (feel free to bring a bottle if you’re likely to be thirsty!), soft drinks, crafts, singing and a light supper. This month our marvellous cooks will be serving fish finger butties with fishy biscuits for pudding– hopefully fish-shaped rather than sardine-flavoured! – so you’d be right in guessing we have a sea themed session planned. Hope to see you there
