FEAST WEEK, with a theme of THE MUSICALS !   27/7/14  to 2/8/14


Sunday 27 th July 2014


The Float Carnival Day will be a great start to Feast Week with the PRODUCE SHOW, please see the entry form in Spectrum to enter as many classes as you would like to.


 Also gather your friends and neighbours together as now is the time to start planning a float with any type of vehicle or wheels, dressed in the theme of a Musical!  We will be holding a Classic car display too, so please contact myself or Bernie to register your car for the show. The Songs of Praise service will be held in the marquee by David Busk and Katy Dunn at 5 pm, after the parade of floats at 3pm, and there will be the Bar and BBQ for the afternoon too.

Helen Attwood has kindly offered to run the Art Show again this year, so if you would like to display your art please see the categories you can enter, listed in the Feast week Programme, which will be delivered by early July. This year Helen and her team would like the exhibits delivered to the village hall on Tuesday 29 th July from 2 pm until 8 pm.


Monday 28 th July.

Children’s craft activities 2- 4pm in the Village hall, then the cricket match at 6.00pm.


Tuesday 29 th July .

Guys and Gals rehearsals 10 am daily until Friday, all ages welcome in the marquee, with parents.

Toddler’s and children are welcome with parents to The Farm Club, St Ives with drinks provided by Feast week 11.30- 1.00pm then the cricket match 6pm.


Wednesday  30th July.

Children’s Feast week service with Teddy bears picnic,11.30 am, children’s magic show at 5.00pm. Art show opens 6pm as well as cricket match. Irish bingo  at 7.00 pm, and then a disco. Kids bar, BBQ, Bar, and raffle will then be on daily, times shown in the programme.


Thursday 31st July.

Find The Woodland fairy 2-4 pm, the Art show opens at 6.00pm, Children’s entertainment ‘Science Mad’ at 5pm then the Band “Rendition” and disco, perform in the evening. (click here for more details about Rendition)


Friday 1st August

Art show, 6.00 pm then Entertainment night starts at 7.00 pm.


Saturday 2nd August.

Football Penalty Shootout at 11.00am, then at 1.30pm the Village Sports Day with Tug of War, Art Show prizes, Village Tea, then a Michael Jackson Tribute band, with the final disco. (click here for more details about the Michael Jackson Tribute band)


Sunday 3 rd August.

Clear up day –all help welcomed from 9.00 am.


We will be selling the Summer Grand draw tickets from June onwards, door to door and during Feast week itself. We only have one Grand draw every year now so please support Feast week by buying a ticket for £5 or several which increases your chance of winning a cash prize!

Also we would be grateful for any offers of help during Feast week, with the BBQ, bar, kids bar, children’s craft activities, stage building, village tea, and arranging tables and chairs! Most of all come along on Sunday for clear up day with bacon butties!


Also don’t forget our AGM on Tuesday 9/9/14 at 7.30 pm in the Prince of Wales Pub, so come along for a drink and if you are interested in joining the committee please let me know or have a chat with any of the committee, it’s great fun and very rewarding.
