MINUTES OF THE PLANNING COMMITTEE MEETING HELD IN THE CHAPEL at 8:00 pm on MONDAY 23 June 2008. (Planning Meeting 06-08)
Present: Cllrs: Shardlow (Chairman), Robinson, Stott
In attendance. N Taylor, Parish Clerk and three parishioners.

2. Parishioners Open Session
Mr and Mrs Oliver, from Columbia, The Green, came with details of a proposed Planning Application for a new dwelling adjacent to Columbia. Previous plans had been rejected and denied at an Appeal. Mr and Mrs Oliver wanted to seek the council’s guidance on whether their new plans were more acceptable before they submit them again to Hunts D.C. The Council agreed that the new plans were more in keeping with the street scene than the previous application but could not make any formal agreement without it going through the planning process.
3. To Consider the Following Planning Applications:
a. Application Ref: 0801718FUL – Erection of a Porch at 1 Sparrow Way. The Council agreed that the proposed extension would improve the visual image of the property and was in keeping with the street scene. The Council agreed to recommend the development be approved.
6. Councillors’ Items
a. Drain at Church Close – Cllr Shardlow to seek estimates to bring to next Council meeting.
b. Lime Trees bordering the church need attention in the Autumn. This to be put on the Parish Council Meeting Agenda in July.
c. Village Benches – Handyman, Bernie, asked to identify the seats in the village and list in order of priority for attention. It was also noted that a seat on the far side of the green was presently missing.
