Parish Council Report May 2008

Following the elections on 1 May 08, five councillors were elected and two more were co-opted onto the Parish Council.  The current list of Councilors is:  Katie Dunn, Bill Halford, Roland Randall, Clive Robinson, Margaret Shardlow, Ian Stott and Brian Ward.  The Council passed a vote of thanks to the outgoing Councilors, Graham Barradell, Keith Fleming and Lissie Wright and thanked them for their hard work on behalf of the Village.  The new Council has yet to appoint a chairman and the position will be filled on rotation for the immediate future. 

The Council is delighted to appoint Mrs Nadine Taylor to the position of Clerk and she is expected to take up the post following the Parish Council meeting on 2 June.

Now that the new vegetation has become established along the edge of Wraggs Row, the Parish Council has agreed to remove the temporary protective posts and ropes.
