Hilton A14 Action Group

Following a public meeting organised by the Parish Council on 6^th July 2005 Hilton we formed the A14 Action Group. 

Objectives

The Group does not oppose improvement of the A14 but seeks to ensure that Hilton residents are kept well informed of proposals and their likely implications and campaigns for:

• the proposed road route to be moved further north as it passes the village, at least in line with the proposed CHUMMS 2001 route;
  
  
• the best possible measures to reduce visual impact, noise, light and air pollution;
  
  
• measures to minimise increased traffic through Hilton;
  
  
• proper consideration of other environmental impacts such as flooding and impact on wildlife
