Hilton Village has a Neighbourhood Watch Scheme which has operated in the village for some years.  The network of area co-ordinators, headed by the Village Co-ordinator, forms an integral part of the Hilton Village Emergency Plan by providing a communication network which can pass vital information to and from the Village Emergency Officer in times of emergency (such as flooding).

At all other times, the Village NW Co-ordinator acts as the focal point for information flow from the St Ives Constabulary, passing relevant warnings and crime data to the local co-ordinators and out to villagers.
