The Hilton Town Charity benefits from long-standing endowments reserved for the inhabitants of the village. Each year a number of grants are available towards meeting the cost of specific projects or needs; requests may be submitted at any time by or on behalf of a resident of Hilton, or by an organisation providing a service to Hilton village.

A detailed report of the charity's activities last year was given to the Parish Council on 10th May 2006, and an annual return is submitted to the Charity Commissioners.

In more recent years provisions have been distributed at Christmas to Hilton's more senior residents and to those families who are known to be ill or in need. The distribution list is updated at this time and the trustees (listed below) are ready to be informed (by formal letter please) of any person who wishes to be added or to be removed from the list.
